Private House 550 m²
A 550 m² house in Europe with a cantilevered staircase in white veined stone and walnut
Concept
The house opens with a stone-floored hall: a tree stands in a round planter under a circular lit ceiling, and a cantilevered staircase in white veined stone rises against a walnut wall over a bed of planting. The hall leads to a dining room and a kitchen with an island; a study, a dressing room, a bathroom, a laundry and a pantry follow.
White stone with grey veining runs across the floors, against walnut panelling, slatted wood and soft beige walls. Bronze rings of light hang over the dining table and the island, and glass cabinets for wine and glassware are lit from within. The bathroom turns darker, with grey stone, black fittings and lit niches.

The design carries one material language of veined stone, walnut and bronze from the hall and staircase to the working rooms of the house. The visualisations cover the hall, the staircase, the dining room, the kitchen, the study, the dressing room, the bathroom, the laundry and the pantry.
